This is the first episode in a series focused on the legal issues surrounding the nationwide opioid crisis. To begin the series, Carla DewBerry discusses the laws and regulations impacting health care providers caring for persons at risk for an opioid addiction and highlights how certain state laws are attempting to prevent and remediate drug dependency. This episode also notes similar efforts at the federal level to address these issues.
